You and your students will love this interactive fan that promotes hands-on student engagement. This learning tool is a great way to enhance your U.S. regions lessons and ensure your students know relevant facts about each state in the West. Using this fan, students map the capital (optional) and color a picture of each state. Next, they fill in important information about the state such as the capital, year of statehood, nickname, state bird, state flower, state animal, and landmarks and physical features. Cute clipart is included for the bird, flower, and animal.
These fans are interactive, student-friendly, promote comprehension, keep students organized, are self-paced, look great, promote creativity, and are easy to collect and assess. They can be used with any resource (textbook, website, etc.), or you can use the suggested website links I’ve included. I’ve also included a handy chart with all of the relevant information and answers for each state. These are perfect for both teaching about the states and regions and reviewing them throughout the year. For maximum durability, I recommend printing them on card stock, but regular printer paper works just fine as well. Clear directions for assembling the fan are included.
There are 11 states included with this West Region fan:
This product can also be bought with the other four regions as a bundle here: U.S. Regions Interactive Fan Bundle
