This PowerPoint introduces students to what the Rhine-Danube Industrial Corridor is and why it’s important. The included activity pairs with this goal by asking students to think about the pros and cons of different forms of transportation for moving goods. The presentation is very discussion heavy and there are many teaching notes included for ways to get students thinking instead of just passively looking at the PowerPoint and taking notes. The activity is very interactive and students get a lot out of it. I’ve included directions for the activity, as well as examples from my class showing how the activity worked. Make sure to read all of the notes at the bottom of the slides for information about how I used them.
