This product contains 8 pages of map skills practice for 2nd-4th graders. The content is explained clearly for students, and I’ve chosen kid-friendly examples and images to make the information more relevant to students’ lives.
Maps and globes are clearly explained, and examples of different types of maps are included. Students also learn the key similarities and differences between maps and globes. They can demonstrate their understanding by creating a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting the two. There are also scenarios outlined where students decide whether a map or a globe would be the best tool for a specific job, and then they explain their reasoning.
